Synopsis
When Robert Bates marries Mandy,a girl from the town,his parents do not approve.Robert is from an old farming family and he is turning his back on farming by establishing a motor maintenance garagfe at the bottom of their garden.But Mandy and Robert are happy,and become even happier when Mandy becomes pregnant.But the threat of miscarriage and a difficult birth leaves Mandy unhappy and lost.Their son,however,is a fighter,soon able to leave hospital,delighting everyone with his warmth and sunny smile.And then tragedy strikes once more,leaving Robert and Mandy with more than ever to cope with.
