From the Author:
I'll never forget Oprah Winfrey's reaction to my makeovers on her show.
From the Inside Flap:
"Amazing! Amazing!" she repeated.
"Fantastic, just fantastic!" she replied again.
You can pretty much say you've been validated when Oprah has praised your work. Though visibly impressed with the makeovers, Oprah asked the question on many women's minds.
She asked, "Christopher, how do you help these women hold on to their new look?"
At the time I really didn't have a good answer, so I said, "You just have to maintain it. Life is maintenance. It's a daily thing."
Not the brightest comeback, but it got me thinking. How can I help these women do it themselves, and maintain it?
Though it took years to develop this system, and what seems like even longer to get it to the public it was worth every angst ridden minute when I hear how it has improved people's lives. Women all over the world have told me what a difference the book has made in their lives and for that I am completely and forever humbled. Truly.
Here are a few:
I'm 64 yrs. old and this has come at a perfect time for me. I'm trying to lose weight that I have recently gained due to the passing of my fraternal twin sister. Your information is wonderful and I'm learning things about myself that I didn't know before. Your various quizzes and your sections to write things down is a great idea.
The affirmations and the tactful way you give us stern advice is great. It is like you are right in our homes and giving us a one on one consultation.
Thanks so much for this wonderful gift of your talents. Most of all, thanks for letting us mature women know we are never to old to take care of ourselves.
I liked your comment "Voices of the past must be put out with the trash. You can change your belief system and indeed your must to move forward." Great advice that I intend to take to heart.
I'm 44 and I look too frumpy for the way I genuinely feel inside. I'm tired of covering up the real me with all this frumpiness!! Your book speaks right to the heart and soul of a woman - do you know that? Your words jump off the pages and have pulled me out of this mess that I am not, but of which I have become. THANK YOU!!!!

I just came across your book over the weekend, and haven't put it down since I got it. What a great book! There are so many useful tips in there. The guide to what style (IPS) you are is invaluable, and I've often wondered why I don't always feel great in some of the piece of clothing and jewelry I own - - it's the wrong stuff for me!
Your writing style is very informative, but done with great flair. I was chuckling at your comments all throughout the book. I've told several of my friends and family all about it, and they are all intrigued as well.
Becoming an author has been a difficult and often frustrating journey, but it is a journey that has helped defined who I am and help me fulfill my life purpose. That purpose being to inspire beauty and enrich lives in a spirit of joy and love.
To all my peeps out there who have become facebook and twitter fans, who have followed my video blogs on YouTube and who have become special friends: Thank you. Creating and presenting this book to the world has been a great fulfillment and that is due to the unending circle of love we will always share.
There comes a time in every woman's life when she asks the question, "Is this too young for me?" She might ask a family member, a friend, or a salesperson. Most of the time she won't get an honest answer. Who wants to be the one to say "You're too old for that?"
It's not only a matter of what's too young or what's too old. It's a matter of what is appropriate for your body type, your age, your lifestyle, and your personality. We are each unique individuals, and our approach to aging must be as individual as we are. But we need guidance.
In Today's youth-obsessed climate, guidance is very misleading. Television and print are often concerned with offending so they waffle when they should be honest. The philosophy that you can wear whatever makes you feel good misleads and confuses many women who are looking for answers.
Christopher Hopkins has decided to speak out. And speak out he does, in a wonderful, warm and insightful manner. He wants to help women look their best. He wants to tell the truth and teach women how to make it all work. His many years of experience and his stylish eye make him a perfect person to help women move into their prime with panache.
Staging Your Comeback will entertain you with Christopher's humor. It will inform you with his experience. And it will guide you with his knowledge.
Staging Your Comeback will become the book you go to for advice over and over again. Christopher will become your trusted friend -- the one you know will always have your best interest at heard, the one who will keep you always looking your best.
Christopher will be the guy you can totally depend on.
