About the Author

Les Digman is the Harold J. Laipply College Professor at the University of Nebraska, where he also serves as a Director of Graduate Studies in Management and was Director of the Center for Technology Management and Decision Sciences (now the Gallup Research Center). A graduate of the University of Iowa, Professor Digman specializes in strategic management, strategic decision-making, international business, and management of technology.

He has written twelve books, made contributions to thirteen others, published 120 journal articles and conference papers (including those in Harvard Business Review, Organizational Dynamics, Operations Research and others), presented 124 professional papers, and authored thirty-one reports and monographs. He has consulted with scores of private and government organizations in the United States, Russia, Sweden, Germany, Korea, Albania, Macedonia, China, Malaysia, and others.

Dr. Digman is a member of the Strategic Management Society, the Strategic Leadership Forum, the Academy of Management, the Decision Sciences Institute, the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science, the Pan Pacific Business Association, and others.
