9780759622258: Rhiannon: Truth Bearer: Book II

Rhiannon; Truth Bearer is the fictional story of a young woman who is guided, challenged, and stretched to share her spiritual teachings and wisdom in a world that has largely forgotten such truths. Since the story takes place in the eleventh century, the reader might be surprised to discover that the fears, failures, and follies encountered mimic those of our own century, as do the triumphs, healings, and empowerment that come from heart-sourced knowing. In Rhiannon; Truth Seeker (Book I), we first meet Rhiannon as a ten year old girl who leaves home to embark on a spiritual journey, destined before her birth. She travels with her grandmother to a remote island to become a priestess-in-training in an order that honors and merges the wisdom of many great traditions. Over six years, she learns such lessons as the oneness of all, non-defensiveness, quieting the mind to hear the voice of the heart, surrender, forgiveness, and the power of love in the visible as well as unseen worlds. The first book ends with Rhiannon leaving the sheltered island to live and teach her truths in the world, a task also foreseen and met with a mixture of excitement and concern. In Truth Bearer, Rhiannon learns how much harder it is to model and trust spiritual truths in the midst of the fear-based living she typically encounters and sometimes find contagious. In a wonderful and original array of circumstances, she encounters priestesses, ancient faery folk, Christians, Jews, outlaws, commoners, and nobles, some of whom embrace or deepen her wisdom and others who label her a witch or heretic. Many times, she is called upon to heal bodies and/or hearts with the power of love and the strength and guidance of Spirit. And with each such encounter, her own journey into wholeness, trust, and surrender is tested and ultimately strengthened. The universal dance of love and fear, illusion and truth, and ego and spirit are played out in various settings that reveal the timelessness of this dance as we

About the Author:

Susi Roos began her healing ministry as an R.N. working in emergency rooms. It was there she first realized that a much greater force than technology was at work with matters of life and death. Further studies in mind-body medicine led her to explore spirituality. Through various spiritual practices, Susi started consciously accessing and recording greater inner wisdom. Her Jewish background combined with ordination as both a non-denominational spiritual minister (1996) and as a spiritual healer (1998 by Ron Roth, spiritual leader and former Catholic priest) have taught Susi that underneath each tradition's dogma and doctrine, there rests the same truths. And if those truths are moved beyond intellectual understanding and come alive through the heart, they awaken within us much joy, healing, peace and love. The Rhiannon books (Truth Seeker and Truth Bearer) were written to share these universal truths through fiction. Gerald Jampolsky, author of Love is Letting Go of Fear, says, 'Set in the 11th century, it [RHIANNON] reminds us that across the span of time and cultures, the voice of love has always been the answer.'Susi is also the author of The Divine Dance, Prayers from the Heart as well as the founder of Blossoming Heart Ministry.
