About the Author

Becky Homan is a St. Louis master gardener. As the innovative garden editor at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and she created the popular annual home-gardening contest that drew entries from across Missouri. Now retired, she is a freelance garden writer and a judge for the 2007 Garden Writers Association's national media awards. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
