About the Author

John Kelso has been a humor columnist for the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas, since 1977. He received the Headliners Award for best Texas columnist in 1998. In 1980 he ran for president of the United States--and lost.
Sharry Buckner has written travel guides for exploring Texas with kids, including Exploring Texas with Children and Exploring Austin. She also wrote the Dallas/Fort Worth City*Smart Guidebook for Avalon Travel.
