You've just finished grading a pile of reports, writing your weekly newletter, scheduling your parent teacher conferences, and placing final grades on this quarter's report cards. And now you want and need to find out how to use Windows 95 to help you do all these tasks and more? Windows 95 For Teachers is a great way to integrate this powerful operating system into the classroom with ease. You'll find a wealth of knowledge right at your fingertips!
Inside, find guidance on becoming a "techno-teacher" in no time:
Michelle Robinette taught herself to use the computer and is on a mission to take technophobia out of the world of education. She believes that, with a little nonintimidating help (such as that provided by her books) and a positive attitude, any teacher can learn to use the computer. She believes that technology should become a natural part of the education process -- not a subject within itself.
Michelle and her husband, John, live in the suburbs of Atlanta. Their days (and nights) are kept busy caring for their five-year-old daughter, Jessie (who wants to be a princess when she grows up), and John-Michael, an "all-boy" three-year-old (who cries when it's time to come inside), Sarah and Toby (their lovable golden retrievers), and Chelsea (an old gray cat).
In an earlier life (her early 20s), Michelle earned a degree in journalism from Georgia State University (which, to her parents' dismay, she never used -- until now) and spent a couple of wild and crazy years as an NFL cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons. She later earned her teaching credentials from the University of Georgia and went on to receive her master's and specialist degrees in education.
Michelle's other goals and aspirations include coauthoring a children's story with her daughter Jessie, becoming a storyteller, and drinking in every moment of motherhood.
If Michelle had it her way, every parent would spend a day -- a rainy day without a recess break -- as a teacher in order to fully appreciate the demands of the job!
