Synopsis
A collection of 34 papers presented at the June 2003 symposium on computer arithmetic, number systems, and the implementation of arithmetic processing components. Several of the papers describe new algorithms for basic arithmetic operations and cryptography, and new methods for testing and error analysis. Other topics include hardware implementations of denormalized numbers, accelerating sine and cosine evaluations with compiler assistance, and an arithmetic for discrete wavelet transforms using algebraic integers.
