For many years, on an annual basis, Oberon published several stories by sets of three promising young writers in its Coming Attractions series. Early work by Rohinton Mistry, Wayne Johnston, David Adams Richards and W.P. Kinsella was included in the series. The hardcover edition was produced in an edition of, perhaps, a few hundred, with most going to libraries. This example collects earlier versions of three stories by Neil Smith, each of which would appear in his first book, published three years later, Bang Crunch. Smith was one of Knopf Canada's "New Faces of Fiction" that year. A signed and dated Canadian first of Bang Crunch is also available from this bookseller. Bound in green cloth, this copy is square and tight with sharp corners, and the jacket is bright, crisp and not priced, as issued. Canadian orders will be charged GST. Signed by Author(s).
