"Narrator Aimee Lilly captures the mysterious moments and quiet family times by giving the characters individual personalities with subtle voice changes. The reading is well paced so that listeners can read along with the book. A welcome addition to elementary grade collections."--Library Journal

About the Author:

Gertrude Chandler Warner (1890-1979) is best remembered as the author of the Boxcar Children mysteries. As a child, she spent hours watching trains near her home and often dreamed about what it would be like to live in a caboose or freight car. In each story, she chose a special setting and introduced unpredictable, unusual, or eccentric characters to help highlight the Aldens' independence and resourcefulness. She lived in Putnam, Connecticut, until her death in 1979.
