9780786227952: Sand Pirates

Weaving a web of intrigue and passion, Ellis Hoff takes you on a whirlwind adventure that will leave you as breathless as the love-struck hero of Sand Pirates in this page- turning potion of hide-and-seek on an island too small for criminals but just the right size for romance.

From the Back Cover:

Everyone was coming to Sava. And on an island only five-square-miles big, things could get a little crowded. Criminal. That was just the way Interpol operative, Frans Vondel, wanted it. Pure instinct had prompted him to prevent the fiery redhead, Petra Logan, from boarding the Surf Queen when she'd come barreling up the pier at the last minute. Six months undercover as the Island Burgomaster was finally going to pay off .... if he didn't fall for the beautiful bait in his keeping.

Petra Logan didn't care who was coming to Sava. She just wanted off and to escape the memories of her ruined elopement. Fast. Perhaps too fast. Had she been speeding? Well, yes, but that Island Burgomaster, all wild blond hair and too many muscles for his own good, was up to something. A minor driving infraction and he practically chains her to a patch of sand surrounded by ... water. Too much water. Did everyone want her in it, drowning? She had to get away. But there was no escaping the Burgomaster and the arms that drowned all coherency with every touch.

About the Author:

Ellis Hoff has lived in and around Minneapolis all her life and resides now in the small town of Medina, just west of the city, with her husband, daughters and son. Bitten by the writing bug in the fourth grade, she's thrilled to see her words come to life in her first novel, Sand Pirates. She enjoys reading just about anything as long as long as there's someone falling in love and has a soft spot for biking, camping, and the ever changing seasons of the northern mid-west. Ellis abandoned the idea of relocating to a warmer climate about the time she decided to quit the daily grind and take a stab at making writing more than a hobby. Long, cold winters are perfect for inviting in the heat of a good romance.
