Brinkerhoff, a professor in the College of Education at Western Michigan University, is the author of ten books on evaluation and training, including Achieving Results from Training (1997) and The Learning Alliance (1994), both published by Jossey-Bass. His consulting clients include The World Bank, IBM, and The Federal Aviation Administration. Rhonda C. Messinger, founder of RC Messinger Instructional Development, is a professional educator specializing in using adult learning patterns and behaviors to increase knowledge and retention of information. She is also a senior consultant with Learning Solutions Group in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her clients include Quaker Oats, Monsanto, and the University of Chicago.
