About the Author

Laura Morelli earned a a Ph.D. in art history from Yale University, where she was a Bass Writing Fellow and an Andrew W. Mellon Doctoral Fellow. She has written pieces for many national publications including a column for National Geographic Traveler called "The Genuine Article." Her work has been featured on CNN Radio, Travel Today with Peter Greenberg, and in USA TODAY, Departures, House & Garden, Traditional Home, the Denver Post, the Miami Herald, the Chicago Tribune and other media. Laura has taught at Trinity College in Rome and several universities in the U.S, and regularly speaks about art history to museum and public audiences across the U.S. and Europe.
