Born in southern England and now living in London, she worked as a dietitian at St. Stephen's and Westminster hospitals before embarking on her current career. She has a monthly column in Men's Health and a weekly column in London's Sunday Times. She has contributed to a variety of national newspapers and magazines and has made numerous guest appearances on a wide range of television and radio programs.
