Ha desarrollado eventos de impacto para parejas y familias, incluyendo el seminario "Matrimonios a Prueba de Fuego" y otros eventos sobre liderazgo, matrimonio y diversos temas familiares. Actualmente, es el pastor principal del Ministerio Cristiano Catacumba 5 en Puerto Rico, donde su esposa, Mildred, con la que lleva casado cuarenta y cuatro años, sirve activamente junto a él en el ministerio. Además, tienen dos hijos y cuatro nietos que disfrutan al máximo.

Rey Matos, recognized for his message to the family, clearly establishes the biblical principles applied to everyday life for both men and women. He has developed impact events for couples and families, including the "Fireproof Marriages" seminar and other events on leadership, marriage and various family issues.
