The fifth book in Morris's "American Odyssey" series (A Time To Weep, Revell, 1996) again focuses on the Stuart family, with this latest title covering the World War II years. Among the many characters is Adam, the troubled son of film executive Lylah Stuart Hart and famed German pilot the Red Baron, who finds his German heritage in conflict with his need to fight for the Allies. Also fighting in the war is Adam's cousin Clint Stuart, whose marriage to his childhood sweetheart is threatened by her infidelity. Another cousin, Wendy, finds herself involved with a man who is both attracted to and put off by her Christianity. The wide assortment of characters becomes confusing at times, but on this whole this is an entertaining look at a Christian family who use their faith to undergo difficult times.
