The sermons of George W. Truett are a gold mine of inspiration and instruction. The preacher who familiarizes himself with the sermons in the George W. Truett Library will find genuine enrichment and a galaxy of ideas and material for a lifetime of preaching. After graduating from Baylor University and a student pastorate at the East Waco Baptist Church, Truett accepted the pastorate of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. Under his ministry the church grew until it became the largest Baptist Church in the world both in membership and gifts. Since his life was so busy, few of Truett's sermons were published during his lifetime. But after his decease in 1944 his sermons were published as a legacy for generations to come. They are here offered in the form of the George W. Truett Library - eight volumes with a total of 108 sermons and more than 1500 pages. Some Vital Questions is the first volume.
