Synopsis

Hardback, published in 1988 by Johns Hopkins Press, unstated and presumed first edition. This book is used-like new. No writing or underlining in book, no wear on edges or corners of covers; pages bright white, no fading on covers. Covers are gray cloth on spine; black paper on front and back covers, silver writing of title, authors and publisher and square drawing of black sky with silver stars, diagonal lines indicate where stars are for astronomer. Book's Table of Contents includes Acknowlegements, Introduction, Index to Celestial Coordinates, the Plates, and at end the Index to Galactic Coordinates. No DJ. Please see photos. This book is a collection of 212 pairs of maps together portraying the entire sky at both visible and ultraviolet wavelengths. Introduction is 17 pages of explanation of coordinate systems. The maps were generated by computers supplied by NASA, in support with the Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT). Please see photos.
