NANCY KANE (Northern Illinois University) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in private practice in Northbrook, Illinois. In addition to her private practice, she is also an Associate Professor at the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. Nancy co-authored From Fear to Love: Overcoming Barriers to Healthy Relationships with her husband, Ray. They have two children and live in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Ray and Nancy Kane open up their hearts, sharing their own pain as well as their counseling expertise in the struggle to fully experience the love that drives away our fears. This book will take your heart by the hand and lead you to love in ways that break the bondage of fear. As God's Word says, love casts out fears. From Fear to Love may just be what a fear-gripped heart is looking for. Read it and rejoice!
-Dr. Joseph Stowell, President, Moody Bible Institute
In From Fear to Love Ray and Nancy speak with a gripping story. I simply could not put the manuscript down. This true life story reads better than a compelling novel. The story is warm and exciting and points with great wisdom how to move from fear to love in the bonds of Christ.
-Dr. Frank Minirth, Diplomate American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
You can overcome the barrier of fear and find love like you've never known before. Through this helpful book, Ray and Nancy Kane will guide you--step by step--beyond the stark walls of fear and walk with you toward healthy relationships that enjoy the luxurious freedom of love.
-From the foreword, Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott, best-selling authors, speakers, and counselors
Clear, honest, sensitive, practical, filled with interesting stories, often captivating--these words all describe Ray and Nancy's book. This is a wonderful book about relationships, but it is more. The Kanes have dipped into their experiences as counselors, as Christians, and as a married couple, to write a helpful guide for anybody who ever gets angry or controlling, who knows people who are hard to love, or who wants more loving relationships. Read it and you'll grow.
-Dr. Gary Collins, psychologist, author, professor, and former president of the American Association of Christian Counselors
To some degree most of us know (or have experienced) the symptoms of anxiety--the loss of a sense of well-being, the sickening of self absorption, the obsession with dark outcomes, the racing heart. With compassion and insight the authors open our eyes and hearts to move us from fear-based isolation to our greatest human longing--love and satisfying human connectedness. We needed this book more than we realized.
-Valerie Bell, conference speaker and author of six books including Made to Be Loved
