He learned to play the blues while picking cotton and did the devil's work. When asked "Do you play any gospel?", "Son" replied, "I use to play a little gospel. You working for the Devil on the blues lines... and you working for God on the Gospel... and you won't want to cross that up. So be what you gonna be at all times." Mississippi Delta Blues won 5 awards and was filed in the delta on Pantherburn Plantation and Leland, Mississippi - 1984.
