This DVD covers the painters invention of the Grattage style and his adventures into Surrealism, Abstract and Modernist painting and Collages, reflecting the influence of different trends, like the pure and brilliant colors used in Fauvism, shapes taken from Cubism, influences from folkloric Catalan art, and Roman frescos from the churches. We take an in depth look at works of fine art such as Naked Flame On Naked Woman, Man and Woman In Front of a Pile of Excrement, Constellation: Morning Star, and Woman and Bird in the Night. The film also discusses his later years he concentrated more on monumental and public works.
