Residing in Dallas, Texas, Patricia Hewitt is an active participant of spiritual, charitable, and professional organizations. A native of Louisiana, she is a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe and has attended Louisiana State University for graduate studies. Hewitt has also worked as a teacher of secondary English in Louisiana public schools and private academies for sixteen years. She has previously written curriculum guides, workbooks, and booklets on English grammar, creative writing and reading, which have been published at the local level for student studies. In addition to her career in education, Hewitt has worked in the corporate business world in the areas of finance, insurance and printing. She is currently teaching in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch Independent School District.
