Robert Brancati was born in Queens, New York. When he was still a child, his family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where the west and its folklore became his passion in life. His other passions include baseball and music, and he still sings and records and plays baseball. A graduate from the State University of New York, Mr. Brancati has been a physical education teacher for twenty years.
