Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. With Larry McMurtry's bookplate on front pastedown, and an inscription on the illustrated front end free paper: "To the Governor, from the Big Red E Tribe." Curious: The Big Red E Tribe doesn t come up on a quick search, but could this book have been inscribed to a governor of Oklahoma? Hard to put it past McMurtry's collecting interests. Originally published in the American Guide Series in 1941, this is the first printing of the revised edition. A very good book with some wear to corners and to the edges of lower boards. In a very good jacket with wear around spine, some foxing on rear panel, and a few stray red pen marks to front. Love that the cover highlights a double-decker overpass. Please inquire for photos.
