Small quilts are a viable alternative for today's busy quiltmaker living in cramped quarters, who can use finished projects as lap quilts, crib quilts, or wall hangings. The 17 skillfully adapted projects range from a stunning Mariner's Compass quilt to applique projects like the Pennsylvania Wreath to the familiar Double Irish Chain and Trip Around the World quilts. Five Amish and Mennonite patterns reflect the background of Pennsylvania native Corcoran. Directions for each project include a full-page color photograph, background information on the pattern, a materials list, complete instructions, full-size templates, and finishing directions. Each is rated for skill level from beginner to advanced. This is an excellent choice for any quilting collection.
