Simmons (humanities, MIT) takes us on a journey through some sparsely charted waters: the passage of an individual from Christian Science to his own personal epiphany. The tensions of living in a secular world lead Simmons to conclude that the best action is "to choose one's own faith, rather than the faith that is chosen for one."
