About the Author

Renowned Catholic theologian Monika K. Hellwig is executive director of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities. She was for many years a professor of theology at Georgetown University. She's the author, co-author, or editor of eighteen books, including The Modern Catholic Encyclopedia. Her most recent book for Paulist Press is Guests of God. Dr. Hellwig lives in Silver Spring, Maryland.
