Tell us a little bit about your book – who is it aimed at and how will it help them?
The eleventh edition of the Simplified Diet Manual strives to keep up with the changes in the science of nutrition using evidenced based research. Its basic purpose is to provide consistency among diet terminology, in a simplified manner, for the prescription and interpretation of diets or nutrition plans in thee health care setting.

What inspired this?
The eleventh edition of the Simplified Diet Manual marks 59 years of its publication by the Iowa Dietetic Association. Hospitals and long-term care facilities in every state and many foreign countries now use the Simplified Diet Manual. It is revised every 5 years.

What differentiates your book from others in the field?
The Simplified Diet Manual is hard-bound and user-friendly. It includes pertinent copyrighted material which makes it an excellent resource.

What do you feel are the reasons for the success of this book?
The Simplified Diet Manual is kept up-to-date while retaining its straightforward and uncomplicated style. The diet manual includes suggested meal patterns with each diet which assist the user with implementing diets provided. Study Guide Questions have been incorporated within the diet manual to give practice in applying the information for educational purposes.
