About the Author

Louis C. Jones is director emeritus of the New York State Historical Association and the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, NY. A cofounder of the New York Folklore Society, Jones is the author of several books, including Things That Bump in the Night and Growing Up in Cooper Country.
