About the Author
Carl Sifakis is a crime reporter and freelance writer. Formerly with UPI and The Buffalo Evening News, he is the author of numerous books and articles, including The Encyclopedia of American Crime; Frauds, Deceptions, and Swindies; Encyclopedia of Assassinations; Crimes of the Rich and Famous; Strange Crimes and Criminals; America's Most Vicious Criminals; and The Mafia Encyclopedia, all for Facts On File/Checkmark Books. He lives in New York.
