About the Author

Michel de Certeau was a philosopher, historian, and Jesuit. He is the author of "The Practice of Everyday Life", "Heterologies: Discourse on the Other", and "The Writing of History", in addition to "The Mystic Fable, Volume One" and "The Possession at Loudun", both published by the University of Chicago Press.

The late Michel de Certeau was Directeur d'Etudes at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris and Visiting Professor of French and Comparative Literature at University of California, San Diego.

Brian Massumi is Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the University of Montreal. He is the author of "Parables for the Virtual: Movement, Affect, Sensation" and "A User's Guide to Capitalism and Schizophrenia: Deviations from Deleuze and Guattari "(MIT Press).
