About the Author:
Douglas B. Gutknecht is Chairman of the Sociology Department at Chapman College in Orange, California. Edgar W. Butler is Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Riverside. Professor Gutknecht is also the author of The Organizational and Human Resources Sourcebook, (UPA, 1986); Meeting Organization and Human Resource Challenges (UPA, 1984) and Strategic Revitalization, Second Edition (UPA, 1988).
