About the Author
David E. Sumner, Ph.D., is professor of journalism at Ball State University where he has taught since 1990. He was director of communications for the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio from 1981-86 when most of this book was written. He has a Master of Theology from the University of the South and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. He wrote articles on Anglicanism for the Encyclopedia Britannica Yearbook from 1988 to 1999.
