Critical issues facing our planet - climate change, genetically modified food, water pollution, HIV/AIDS, ecological justice, and others - are addressed in this collection of presentations from the Global Anglican Congress held in Hartebeesport, South Africa, in August 2002. Religious leaders, scholars, and environmentalists from several countries present data and perspectives meant not only to inform but also to urge us to do much more to preserve the resources of our earth.
The book concludes with three homilies from the Congress, along with twelve Provincial and Country Reports, from four continents, on environmental and economic trends. Photos from the Congress are included.
