Book Description Duquesne University Press, 1995. Hardcover. Book Condition: Good. Hardcover, xiv + 185pp, bibliography & index. A college library withdrawal with a large external stamp on all outer page edges and internal library marking inside each board. The "date due" slip is blank, copy looks uncirculated. Limited handling marks: sparse mild creasing, gentle wear to very tips of some corners. Else clean and bright throughout, untanned, with unmarked text and firm binding. Boards show short creases and scuffing to tips of corners, one short edge-nick to the tip of upper front corner, a small area of gentle sticker-damage on lower front panel, faint storage marks; faded lettering on spine, lower spine is darker indicative of a removed label. Published without a dust jacket. --- Melancholy is so much part of human experience that it is no surprise that, in its clinical dimension, it has been written about by physicians for hundreds of years, from antiquity into the 20th century.
