About the Author

KELLY SCHWEITZER received her PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her research focuses on the molecular biology of Alzheimer's Disease.

I. EDWARD ALCAMO, PhD is a Distinguished Professor of Microbiology at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. He has taught at the college level for 30 years, specializing in microbiology for nursing and other allied health science students.
