ea. vol: 64p. charts. maps. photogs. reprods. index. (Visual Geography Series). CIP. Lerner. 1987. PLB $9.95. Grade 5 Up These three additions to the series differ only in specific content from their predecessors; once again, they pre sent the land, history and government, the people, and the economy in a concise and interesting manner. Although there are still some fine examples, the general quality of the photos seems to be slip ping. Several are repeats from other titles, and those in color do not offer the same compelling scenes and vivid colors that appeared previously. Some of the black-and-white photos, particularly in Ecuador, are overexposed and out of focus. Venezuela presents an interesting portrait of the petroleum industry, Ecuador of the Galapagos, and Uruguay of national art. While not on a par with earlier volumes, the factual content still makes them a worthwhile addition. Dennis C. Tucker, Bethel College, Mishawaka, Ind.
