Written by female Harvard Divinity School students who were interested in connecting women's concerns with their training for the ministry, these sermons are direct, frank, and compassionate. Sermon topics include wife and child abuse, incest, homelessness, alcoholism and drug dependency, depression, abortion, racism, and other feminist concerns. Each sermon is contributed by a woman who has experienced what she is preaching or who counsels individuals and their families in a particular area. Each contribution is divided into five sections including the sermon, an autobiographical statement, background information, a bibliography of agencies/organizations, and resources on the topic being presented. An excellent resource tool for developing women's studies collections for any library.
