Ben Snipes joins an august company of cowboys who have been named to the "Cowboy Hall of Fame" in Oklahoma City. His cattle drives from the state of Washington to the mines in Canada give the reader thrilling trips over hazard-strewn miles, while learning a respect for the life style of this very courageous but modest man. The author met Ben Snipes when Snipes was old and Sheller was young, but thanks to an endearing curiosity, Sheller wrote this account of his life as very special cowboy.
