THE WAY OF THE CHILD focuses on the spiritual formation of children. Part of the COMPANIONS IN CHRIST series, it helps children learn and experience spiritual practices that lead them into a deeper awareness of God's presence in their lives. Each session is designed for a 60 to 90 minute time frame with children ages 6-11. There are enough sessions to use from September through May in Sunday school and for weekday or weeknight settings. It is also deisgned for short-term use or sessions can be adapted for day camp, VBS, and other gatherings of children throughout the year. Additional THE WAY OF THE CHILD components include a Music CD, a Resource Booklet, a Family Booklet, an Intepretive DVD, and a Training DVD.

Wynn McGregor is a certified Christian educator in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Educated at Winthrop University (BA) and The Presbyterian School of Christian Education (MA), McGregor's vocational history includes positions as director of enlistment for The Presbyterian School of Christian Education, director of continuing education for Scarritt Graduate School of Christian Education and Sacred Music, director of Christian Education for United Methodist and Presbyterian congregations, UMC district Christian educator, and presbytery resource center director.
She has served both the PCUSA and UMC at the governing body level. McGregor was a member of the Joint Office of Worship (PCUSA) and the design team for the Presbyterian seal. She is the lead trainer for The Way of the Child, part of The Upper Room's Companions in Christ series. McGregor has led numerous workshops and seminars and has served congregations as a consultant.
McGregor has studied spiritual formation with Dr. Susan Muto and Dr. Adrian van Kaam at the Epiphany Institute in Pittsburgh and has completed The Upper Room's two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation.
She lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, with her husband, Angus McGregor, a Presbyterian minister. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.
