Kathy Heilenman holds a joint appointment in French and Italian and Foreign and English as a Second Language Education at the University of Iowa. She is Co-Director of the Foreign Language Acquisition, Research, and Education Program which houses a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition. She is currently directing the first-year French program.
Isabelle Kaplan recently retired from the Isabelle Kaplan Center for Languages and Cultures at Bennington College, VT. She was the Vermont President of the AATF Chapter, a member of the Executive Board of the VFLA, and a project Director for ACTFL. She remains an active member in the foreign language community, consulting for ACTFL, the Department of Defense, and several colleges and universities. Isabelle is also an oral proficiency tester and trainer.
Claude Toussaint Tournier is College Lecturer Emerita of French and Italian at Northwestern University. Previously, Claude was the first-year French program coordinator and teaching assistant supervisor at Northwestern University.
