Synopsis
A revised edition of the original 1974 novel, as published by Coronet Books.
That novel had been based on an unbroadcast original story, by TV series writer Roy Clarke and featured the first series characters Compo, Clegg and Blamire helping their friend, Sam, enjoy one last night of romance with Lilly Bless'er.
For this 1983 edition, the 1974 text was revised, changing Blamire to the more familiar character from the ongoing series, Foggy. In turn, the book was the basis for the 1983 Christmas Special of the TV show, the feature-length edition, 'Getting Sam Home'.
