Synopsis
Absorption Spectrophotometry Spectrofluorimetry has been introduced into the third edition. It is a subject that is receiving increasing attention; and since fluorescence is a manifestation of absorption, it is very properly to include it in a volume with this title. Other new topics introduced are Fourier transform spectroscopy the method of attenuated total reflection (ATR), and estimation of particle size by "apparent" absorption spectra, and the spectrophotometric determination of required paint and dye mixtures.
