About the Author
Major Nigel Bovey was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer, with his wife Margaret, in 1979. They have two children, Janine and Andrew. Nigel previously taught Mathematics, Sociology and Economics in a comprehensive school. He served as a corps officer in Northern Ireland and England before being appointed to 'The War Cry' staff in 1994. As well as contributing chapters to a number of books, he is the author of 'Telling a Children's Story', 'The Mercy Seat', 'Christians in the House' and 'God, The Big Bang and Bunsen-Burning Issues'. He is also a published songwriter, lyricist and poet. He is the Editor of 'The War Cry'.
