Book Description Turret Books,, London, 1992. Vellum Backed Cloth. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: None Issued. Costley, Ron [book designer] (illustrator). First Edition & Limited Numbered. What can one say of this book? It has been stated that Logue is the greatest translator of the Iliad since Pope. This book was first published by Faber in 1991, this is an extensively revised edition of that text published in an edition of 85 copies of which 75 were numbered and ten were ad personam and marked "H.C.". This is one of the numbered copies. All copies were signed by the Logue. The book itself is a work of quiet elegance, designed by Ron Costley and printed and bound by Smith Settle Limited in Otley, West Yorkshire. The book is laid into an orange paper covered slipcase with cloth ends. A remarkable book and seldom seen in this version. The text of this version also differs markedly from the later version included in War Music. An Account of Books 1-4 and 16-19 of Homer's Iliad published in 1997 by Faber [and in a limited private edition earlier in the same year]. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 22747
