Synopsis
As a poet and an editor of an anthology that transmitted the poetry of many Hellenistic epigrammists to modern times, Meleager is an important literary figure, and this text provides an excellent introduction to his poetry. The total of 132 epigrams is encompassed in a little more than 800 lines, allowing a complete reading within a reasonable time.
