Chin Lin Sou was 22 years old when he came to the United States in 1859 from China. He worked on the transcontinental railroad and the gold fields of Colorado. Chin Lin Sou was a natural leader who eventually became a wealthy businessman. He was often referred to as the mayor of Denver’s Chinatown.
