Oddly enough, Mike Ploog started his art career in the Marine Corps, riding bucking horses for the Camp Pendelton Rodeo Grounds. In a strange turn of events, the equally-as-talented with a pencil as in-the-saddle cowboy found himself teamed with the great Will Eisnser (of The Spirit fame), doing illustrated tech manuals for the Armed Services. More odd turns took young Mr Ploog on a ride wilder than any rodeo, and gave him opportunities to work in comics (his Ghost Rider and Werewolf by Night are 70's CLASSICS!)and into the true fantasy world of Hollywood films. Ploog is considered by many a true master, and the artist that ARTIST'S go to when they want new inspiration. This first volume of his sketches give some indication why he's so popular! Ride 'em Cowboy!
