Muriel Canfield Kanoza was born in Oak Park, Illinois, and raised in suburban Chicago. She married in 1956 and has three children. She and her husband Eugene Canfield were converted to Christ after 17 years of marriage. She is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio.
Eugene Canfield died in 1989, and Muriel married Daniel Kanoza in 1992.
Muriel has a heart for hurting people. As founder of several Alcoholics Victorious groups, she has worked extensively with addicted and disturbed women. She has also authored "A Victorian Marriage," and "Anne." Her latest book, "Broken and Battered: A Way Out for Abused Women," will be released in February of 2000. Additionally, Muriel has had articles published in numberous magazines. She has appeared on the 700 Club and Praise the Lord show and has been a sought-after speaker for women's organization, retreats, and churches.
