Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Arthur Thompson (illustrator). 1st Edition. "A Naughty & Notorious Story of the Roaring Twenties," somewhat of a novelized version of the romantic exploits of Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt. A resonably uncommon book that might be of little note except for the fact that its author, Van Rensselaer (Million Dollar Baby, 1979, etc.), was himself a member of one of New York's elite families. He provided giggles and gossip for a series of jaded international celebrities--including the oft-married Barbara Hutton, various maharanis, and the Count and Countess Brando Brandolini. Nancy Mitford dubbed him "Prettikins"; Diana Barrymore called him "Dorian"; and Tennessee Williams assured him he was "a male Blanche DuBois." First edition with a few chips and abrasion. Signed by Van Rensselaer. Signed by Author(s). book. Seller Inventory # 273960
